Looking for an exciting way to keep your child active during the school holidays? Skern Adventure's Summer Surf Camp is a fun-filled holiday club designed for children aged 8–16. Based on the beautiful beach at Westward Ho!, our progressive surf camp combines expert coaching, outdoor adventure and plenty of time in the sea, giving young surfers the chance to build confidence, develop new skills and make lasting friendships.
Whether your child is catching their very first wave or looking to improve their technique, every session is led by our experienced instructors in a safe, supportive environment. Parents can enjoy peace of mind knowing their children are active, supervised and learning new skills, while enjoying unforgettable days on the beach!
A flexible surf camp designed for every young surfer
Whether your child is stepping onto a surfboard for the first time or looking to build on existing skills, our Summer Surf Camp offers a fun, progressive programme designed to develop confidence in the water. Across the week, children will learn new techniques each day through expert coaching, exciting beach activities and plenty of time catching waves. Beginners are welcome, and our instructors tailor sessions to suit all abilities.
Book for a single day or enjoy the full week for the best learning experience. Every session includes qualified surf instructors, surfboard and wetsuit hire, plus all the safety equipment needed. Simply bring swimwear, a towel and a pair of trainers or wetsuit boots that can get wet. Childcare vouchers are accepted, making Summer Surf Camp a flexible and affordable school holiday childcare option.

Safety comes first
At Skern Adventure, safety is our priority. Our highly qualified instructors create a supportive environment where children can safely learn, grow and enjoy the water.
Surf Camp sessions run in most weather conditions, but safety always comes first. If severe weather means a session cannot go ahead, we'll contact all bookers in advance and offer an alternative date wherever possible.
Where to meet
All sessions take place at Westward Ho! Beach. Please meet our instructors at the Slipway Car Park, where they'll be wearing green Skern Adventure clothing. We'll get everyone checked in before heading onto the beach for an unforgettable session.
