Appledore

Stay just moments from the coast at Skern Adventure Appledore, where you can choose between traditional camping and comfortable glamping pods.

Our grass tent pitches offer a simple, back-to-basics camping experience — perfect for those looking to unplug and reconnect with nature. Each pitch accommodates one tent and up to five people (maximum two adults), with unallocated spaces allowing you to choose your ideal spot on arrival. Surrounded by open skies and peaceful landscapes, it’s a relaxed and low-impact way to experience North Devon.

For added comfort, our insulated glamping pods provide a warm, weatherproof alternative. Each pod includes electricity, heating, and a private toilet and basin, along with outdoor deck space. Options include bunk-style pods for families and groups, as well as twin-bed pods for smaller stays — offering a balance of outdoor living with a few extra comforts.

With the beach and estuary just moments away, Appledore is ideal for those looking to combine coastal adventure with a relaxed camping or glamping stay.

Abbotsham

Set within spacious parkland in North Devon, Skern Adventure Abbotsham offers a range of camping and touring options for families, groups, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Our grass tent pitches provide a flexible, open camping experience with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. For those travelling with a campervan, touring pitches are available, including electric hook-up options for added convenience.

Abbotsham is designed to suit a range of stays — from simple camping under the stars to more comfortable touring setups. The site’s peaceful countryside setting offers space to unwind, while still being just a short 10-minute drive from the coast and close to local attractions such as Westward Ho! and the Tarka Trail.

At Appledore, facilities are designed to support a relaxed, back-to-basics camping and glamping experience. Guests have access to toilets, hot showers, and washing-up areas, along with open green space and designated firepit zones for outdoor evenings.
